A.H.M in the Future
Itʼs been a while, huh? Two months since the last write-up is a world record by this siteʼs standards. ...Not like Iʼm taking pride in the fact, just sayinʼ. The creator of Album Heart Mother has posted today to inform you lot about the blog in its current state. After much cogitation, A.H.M will be taking an indefinite hiatus.
Again, this ainʼt the sort of decision to make lightly. I will never EVER cease my enjoyment of music – mere listening sessions, extended dialogues, etc. The original plan was to do a review on the GazettEʼs newest full-length MASS, which (SPOILER ALERT) is GazettE in the year of our lord 2021: a huge nothingburger. Upon looking back at A.H.Mʼs older columns, not only have I been coming off as overtly positive in those pieces, the way in which each and every rev was verbal diarrhea-ed got formulaic fast. The call for a recess is mainly due to that fear of tedium.
That said, the previous reviews wonʼt go deleted. Once the inexorable return comes, Iʼll be summoning critiques bolder, meatier and smarter than what preceded them. Await with pleasure for a better A.H.M – an A.H.M that gets more people talking. Toodles!
